I like that Showa Ian. One day if I ever get room inthe pond I'll get a showa but I think it will be years from now. GG is only 6 and taking up space for 3 or 4 fish.

Man,
Ya all talking about Fall...i am gonna move North...Maybe all the way to Alabama...they get some ice on the edge of their ponds every Winter.....That's far enough.
It would still be cold enough to stop doing much in the Winter....right?

We do lots in the winter Luke. We pace by our ponds peering into the snow and ice looking for a glimmer of movement, a bit of colour a flash of fin. Keeps us plenty occupied I assure you. In between we shovel snow, hope the snowpough comes to clear the roads and curse the salt truck for ruining the roses. yep I just love winter

The grey blimp of a fish we call sora( a soragoi). It is one fish that never leaves the surface if you are around the pond. kind of a picture hog too!
Busy, it looks like tommorow all these koi go inside for their winter stint and will have to dream about being outside till spring>
