Hello all, these are some pictures of the nine new arrivals. They are my first domestic purchase and wanted to see what you think of them. They come from a breeder in GA and I purchased nine of these little guys. They are currently in my 750g qt tank started out at 40F when they arrived to 66f over a two week period.
They all are heathly the bigger Kohaku was scraped and scoped upon arrival and found costia which was been treated. The cool part about them is I saw the pictures of their parents and I also know when they where spawned. Allen

Hi Allen,
the first 3 links do not work?
The last photo, it's neat having young fish and watching them develop. That kohaku(?) has an interesting head pattern. There's a lot of black to come on that showa?

As it stands these guys do not all have names. When I saw the pict of the Kohaku I had to get that one because it does have a unique looking head pattern and I also wanted to try my luck at some domestic koi. I am hoping this one is a Showa, it is replacing one that I lost this past winter.
The picture does not show it well but the one that looks like an Ogon is a Kojaku and the black is real faint now but they tell me it will be intense when it comes thru or at least that’s what happened with it parent.
Bringing me to the part I love the most about this hobby is that you do not realize the changes they go thru until you look back at pictures and see the changes, its amazing. I have an Gin Matsuba rightfully named Calico that last year was almost pail white and now has some intense colors and more still coming thru. Allen

I'd like to see Calico :)
I noticed you edited you 1st post... maybe it's me but I can only bring up the last link. If you like Allen, send me the pics and I will post them for you.
I agree with you! Some change so dramatically, showa for sure.

Well, I think Allen needs a "blue bowl" and a koi photo shoot :D it's not easy to tell from pictures ... it'd be nice to see a bit more detail of those babies.
:D

I would be more than happy to except a charitable contribution of a blue bowl to show my little rascals off the only down side is I would need a net and camera too. Seriously I don't like netting them because it scares the *#%^ out of them and then I have to spent another two months trying to get them to eat from my hand. Well Allen, that itself is a whole other topic  There is an "art" to netting koi(or any fish for that matter) in which the "stress" is minimal.

What is it about a koi with an open mouth? :) Kinda like a baby, you can't help but smile back
Very cute Ozzy...looks like years of fun to come.

 I've got dibs on the Kujaku!
LOL! They are all nice Oz! Guess I have a thing for Kujaku though. :D They are just one that catch's my eye!
When I went up to Portland to buy the males for my female, they had the most marvelouse Kujaku male! *slobber & drool* A big fine ruby colored one!
Terri you will have to teach us the trick of netting, Bectie has a horrid temper and gets very mad....... There's nothing like getting two bath's in one day!
