My Irises are ALL Purple....

I planted some of a different color around the pond next to the purple ones and they came up purple... Hmmmmmm

They may all be purple but they're pretty. One of my favorite color combos...red and purple. Last year I had dark purple and bright red petunias all around the pond. This year I'm slow at getting stuff done ... maybe 'cause I had so much knee surgery and therapy. All well now and I gotta go backto work soon ... BAH HUMBUG :(

I hate it when that happens. I spent big bucks last year on one of the new coral bells and didn't the darn thing revert over the winter to plain green instead of silver and purple!!!

Pretty iris anyway. Maybe you can trade a few of those with a neighbours who are in bloom so you can see the colour... I find evil people often switch the plant tags at the stores :frisbee:

Thanks everyone.. I have a bud in one bunch that looks almost black... It will be interesting to see what color it blooms as...

Unfortunately I moved them this spring before they bloomed but I have a huge iris that starts in bud like it is going to be black and turns out to but light blue on the top and cream on the bottom, weird flower but pretty.
