The actual snowflakes here are huge! Since I took this pond picture this morning it is comming down harder. There were 4 moose in the back field. This picture shows 3 . I changed cameras at that point to get better pictures. Stinkerbell is so bored he has taken to watching tv and I am painting candles while I watch! Another earthquake....we are blessed living here!
Annie and all the critters on the farm
Not that I wanted it. :banghead: Hope it melts all the hard stuff and it all goes soon.
Moose eh? I wonder how far down they come? We have never heard of any down here. Just some deer and cougar sighting. They are not sure if someone had it caged and it got out. That was last year.
Interesting candle...what are you painting it with? More wax?
Yes winter does seem very l..o..n..g! I think we all want to get out soon and feel some spring breezes and sunshine.
Next best thing...Canada Blooms....

Haven't seen a Moose up close yet but have heard if you hit one crossing the roads your car suffers a lot of damage and they usually just walk off as if you just gave them a tap on the back, at the Airport we have seen quite a few Deer and a few White Owls that the most we will see in the City. Very nice candle you are pretty good painter seems to have pretty steady hands. Don't know what's happening a couple major earthquakes already and big snowfalls in the last month or so shutting down the cities imagine the bitter cold and no hydro pretty bad, lots of pain and suffering out there. :banghead: :banghead:

Moose!! wow didn't think they came this far south but hey, whever there is food I guess. I've seen the urban deer here but never have my camera with me. Great painting on the candle, who would want to burn it?
I can't believe another earthquake. At least Chile has good building codes. If plans had worked out I would have been in Santiago about now...

Moose are moving south. Guys that hunt them use to go 4-5 hrs north but hunt now less than a hour away.
I Had to put a moose down a few years ago that came into town and was injured. As for Moose walking away from accidents not that much as cars go under them breaking their legs. Then the moose crash into the windshields. A lot of fatalities when cars and Moose collide.

Annie, how neat to be able to see moose in the backyard. Snow on the other hand is not so nice. Love the painting....LOL at your cat. Chris a couple of years ago my son-in-law was on a motorcycle trip with his brother and father up through Canada to Alaska....I think it was in Alaska that it happened, his father hit a moose, the moose did walk away, hoping he was alright, his father survived but with a fractured ankle, and I think a fractured arm or shoulder.

I've seen the damage a deer can do to a car, I don't want to see what a moose can do!!!

Moose are dangerous and we do not go near them. When we use to trail ride in the bush (before the coyotes took over) my dear old Blondie always knew when a moose was around and would refuse to continue on the trail! I never second guessed her as she was always right! That horse of mine lived 35 years and a day does not go by that I do not think of her! She is buried near my pond! There is alot of wildlife around here!

A friend of mine almost ran into a moose last winter...it jumped clear over the car! A very close call!

You are lucky to see deer as the coyotes around here have damaged the population. Have not seen one deer this winter! The hunters have taken out 35 coyotes from around here so far this winter. It has not made a dent on their population. Now is breeding season and by end of April coyotes should be everywhere! No more walking my dog anywhere or riding my horse in the bush along the trails!

There was a coyote spotted two blocks from my house!! As long as they leave my dogs and me alone I am fine with them. I wish they would eat the feral cats that are trying to move into my yard.
