Well I finally did it, went out and bought a new and very first laptop computer. Also bought a new printer/scanner, my old one the black hasn't worked for a couple years and the cheap free Dell printer doesn't do the best job on pictures and some documents. Plus I know I will use the scanner which I haven't been able to cause my old one wouldn't load up with the Dell as it wasn't Microsoft tagged. And while I was at it I got a wireless router. Now I just have to tell Jerry cause he was at work and knows nothing about it:roll:. Now I just have to get use to it, typing on this flat of a surface is different and slower for me, and I still have things I want to load onto it. And this was the first Website/forum that I added to my Favorites!! even before Facebook

You'll love the independance it gives you Marla. Smith uses his everywhere. I admit I really liked the little netbook we took to Europe although I gave Smith a hard time about buying it.
I love my laptop too. Wireless connectons to the router and the printers. There's nothing better. You'll love it. Nice to be able to set up and work anywhere you want.

Still have to add stuff and download the free Windows 7 update, and figure out a new mail import systen, right now we use outlook (the older version) cause this is what Jerry is use to and he hates to learn new stuff, calls himself a dinasour. I will not be able to use the Microsoft Office version I have, but my daughter has 2007 version which will work so I'll borrow hers. I did take it out side yesterday to see my range and I can get down to the pond with no problem, so come summer evenings I will really enjoy being able to be on line outside.

My computer comes with Vista, I'm not a Vista fan do not really like it, prefer XP Pro which the other 5 computers have installed in them. I guess it's what you're used too.

No matter what operating system Microsoft comes out with, it usually never remains as fast as day one - They always end up with error messages and system constipation. It's very much like the Mac commercials on TV - Lot of truth there!
And besides, I've never know anyone to complain about their Mac. Too bad they're so darn expensive, but just the same, I will consider owning one when it comes time to buy again.

I'm on Jerry's side! I just saw that post and I resemble that remark!
Cinn gets on me about my resistance to change. I say, if ain't broke, don't fix it. If it is broke, hope its old enough that you can fix it.

....this comes from the guy who still has his high school car and drives a Toyota Ext Cab with 490,000 miles on it.
Still the original engine.
Heck, my old convertible still has an 8-track!..... that works! :HAHA:

Wow Rem I'll come ride in that car any day, what a beauty (my favorite car would love one), and I'll bring along my 8-track collection!!! We still have 2 8-track stereos, our boys had them hooked up in there room with speakers in all 4 corners....they loved all the old ones.

I'll take the car, you can keep the truck.
Nice ride, I guess you don't have to store it for the winter or worry about salt destroying it.

The bus and the camper were at the shop there for work while I was working a claim there. Parking space was limited so I just backed up to that 5th wheel. Upon returning to my truck I noticed how funny it looked and snapped that picture.
Heck, I couldn't afford to fill that bus up. :HAHA:
The car stays inside my shop. Rarely started. An occasional trip around the neighborhood. Needs brake work, etc. Found her in 1979, took a year to convince the owner to sell it to me. Bought it in 1980 for $3300.00 and painted it in spring of '81. She's worth a bit more now. Original paint was lacquer and had the typical crows-foot. Parade duty is about all she did after that with an occasional cruise. I'll bet I haven't put 10,000 miles on it since I've had it. The driveline is still original and has never been removed. Most of the parts are still original.
Interior is completely original. The last year she was registered was in 1987. Kills me to not be driving it on a beautiful day like today.
I get tickled when my son visits. He knows that he will end up with that car when I'm gone.... so long as it is natural causes. I tell him that otherwise it gets donated to Goodwill.
