Well can you believe it I finished my pond two years ago in August and I am now planning it's replacement.

It will take me saving money for a while to get the filtration, heater, UV and construction materials, but the main plan is already in my head. Don't know when that happened but it did.

Right now my pond is a liner pond 13' X 7' X 3'. The new one will be 20' X 7' X 5'-6' It will be concrete with about two feet above ground level. I want to do a nexus with answer on it, but may wind up having to just concrete a filter like the small on in Koi2Kichi.

I would like to go more than the 7' width, but there isn't any room. This pond will replace the one that is there.

That's cool Ron, upgrading can be a fun challenge ;)

Having done a concrete filter ourselves... the time and cost is pretty much that of purchasing a filter like the Nexus(with out Answer). I could not believe how much concrete went into that vortex/chambered filter! LOL Was a fun day and glad we had a few friends around to help out.

Once you start please take loads of pictures to share with us!

Interesting to think the costs ar about the same. I'd have thought the concrete although more work would be much cheaper.

Show us the plans Ron.

I was thinking the same thing...concrete would be cheaper and easier to hide..

Sounds wonderful Ron.
Are you going to disguise the concrete with some type of flagstone, etc?
