Two new Shiro Utsuris

There is also a much larger Sanke from the same breeder, but no pictures: It was too big for the bowl.

I had originally intended to give one to my brother, but his house and pond are for sale. I guess I'm going to have to wait and see how they both turn out.

Nice, I agree with Peg it will be interesting to see how they develop. A bit of stress red showing in the pics but that is to be expected. We want to see the sanke as well.

Yes! I had my choice of any two out of a group of five. I ranked them 1-5 (with 1 being the one I liked best) and went with 1 and 3. But subsequently I have read that this breed of shiros changes a lot in the first three years, including the distinct possibility that sumi both comes and goes.

So we'll see what happens! I hope to keep one and let one go in the fullness of time.
