They are nothing special but some have been with me for years and my wife picked some babies last year because she think they were cute. They are not quite babies any more. :)

capk,
I hate to disagree with someone as learned as you, but I see something special in each one of them. They all have a home where they are loved, seems pretty special to me and my mottly crew...

Thank you everybody for your kind words. :D Heck, they are special to us but I know that they are not show quality and they are just my pets so I wasn't going to make any bold claims. ;)

The pond is about 7ft x 17ft with the deepest part being 3ft. But it is not true rectangluar, more a fat kidney so I don't know exactly how many gallons. I should have read the water meter when I first filled it but I was too excited to remember. Well, it is humble compared with some of you who has 10,000+ gal ponds. This is a puddle. :D

Looks good to me CaptK! My poor kids are cramped in 850 gallons so your place would be a dream :D

Some day, I'll win the lottery and build a nice big OUTDOOR pond with a greenhouse over it so my kids can enjoy the sun.

But until then..... water changes, water changes, and more water changes

Take care of your back, mudsow. Don't want to hurt it unnecessarily. :)

BTW, this is pond mkII. We bulldoze the old one which is about 1/4 size of this one so I know how you feel. We didn't have that many fish then. My biggest problem is what to do when they all grow up? Pond mkIII?! :-P

recently, while watching alot of the lanscaper challange type shows, we've seen nummerous ones that do ponds. But I want in on the total remake and a 10,000 gal and landscaping, where do I sign up :D
