View Full Version : Need UV light
Can Any one suggest a good UV light for my pond. 3600 gal That I can Get my hands on fast. I was using my 55watt Laguna. But every spring it leaks and this spring I've made 4 trip to the guy to fix it and it still leaks. Now it will be 4 more days till he can get to it or decide to send it away it. Home Show is more important the keeping current customers happy I guess. I'm Really :censored: at him right now, Told him I wanted to exercise my right to A new one because this one is still under warrenty. He wants to send it away to have it fixed and loan me a NEW ONE till it comes back. Guess who's not getting anything from this guy again.

Get the loaner, then tell him he can send your old one back if he wants any return business. Not that you will give him any.
Who Is it ? It is the owner of the local pet store where I live, the only place in town and with in over A hundres miles of here. He had lots of time for me when I had money to spend on supplies and pond stuff, but now he has no time at all. The manager and the girls have done there best to help but in the end it's the owner that will make the decision as to what to do. Why have a manager if they don't have the power to deal with the customer to come to an arrangement that is good for everyone. The Home show is on for three days so I will not hear from him most likely till Tuesday.Will call this morning & if they still have no answers for me I will pick up the light and let Peter have a go at it. If they have a loaner I will get it, Use it and when they call to say mine is fixed I will pick it up and tell them I will return there's after mine is tested and working right. So is this where I forget to return it, or just return the old one as if it was the new one. Not like me to be this way but......

The new one will be used so he could not sell it as new anyway. I am sure the manufacturer will just send out a new one, most can't be bothered to fix things, cheaper to replace.
Well good news. I went to get the UV and they replaced it. I'm happy and soon the fish will be too.

So happy it worked out for you, now lets hope the replacement does not give you as many headaches as the old one. :-)

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 5 characters.
I have the same UV....where is it leaking from? If it's right from the connection into it, there's a little red 0 ring that needs to be on the UV side of the fitting before the click fit connection goes on. Laguna sells them, but I can likely find some for you if you can't get them.
