In the last year I stated getting orandas to try and raise in the pond since I had good luck with ryukins. When my orandas are getting any size to them when they are not actively swimming up goes the tail until they're doing a headstand, is this normal with orandas?

They seem fine in every other way, as soon as they start actively swimming they appear normal, nothing odd about how they swim. I have 2 red and whites who have been doing this for months and now my largest panda is doing it. I at first thought some kind of swim bladder issue but I don't know.

Has anyone else seen this?

Can't help you on this one, but seems when you see them in the store they tend to look that way also. Have you tried a goldfish board, I use to have a link to a great site but can't find it and can't even think of the name now.

I posted it on another koi board but haven't tried a goldfish board, that would make more sense, thanks Marla.

Can't help at all Ron, those fancy goldfish are beyond me. They have a huge area of health issues different from koi starting with squished swim bladders because of their body shape.

Ron, here is a link to one of the sites. A member from another board is on this one. http://thegab.org/forum/index.php
