Finally got the fence around the pond

Baxter and Bentley find the ice facinating, every chance they get they're on it and of course they seem to lose their hearing when out on the ice :HAHA: . Just got in from a couple of hours of putting up the fence (in the dark). The puppies are not amused. Baxters favorite source of drinking water. I'm sure the snow from that miserable storm that's heading our way will be enough of a distraction tomorrow.

Certainly a lot of snow here!! I can only hope the rain washes it all away later today. My puppies are not amused for sure.

Pond is covered, yes covered in ice and snow. Yesterday the wind blew in a bunch of leaves etc that can no be removed now. This was the last of the leaves off the trees. Can't believe they held the leaves so late in the season. Friday a friend in NJ told me her forsythia was in bloom and the cherry tree across her street was in full bloom!!!

Most of mine is ice and snow covered this morning. Can just see the thin ice patch now and the open water around the air stones and the waterfalls. The puppies have been having a blast out there this morning. From 6am until 11am, they were playing hard. Now they're having a nice snooze.

Buddy doesn't mind the snow but Skip is a wimp, wants out, wants in, wants out, in, out... and whines the entire time, what he really wants is all of us inside. Can't blame him though, he only weight 6.5 lbs these days and has a thin coat. While we were out shovelling today Skip was trying to convince neighbours that they should pick him up as his feet were cold :lol:

Cindy your pups look to be having a real blast, I bet they prefer this weather to summer.

Wll if you are getting the rain that we are ice on the ponds won't be an issue. But keeping the dogs dry might be :yup:

We only got a bit of rain last night so we have lots of snow left. Half the pond is open this morning.
