Kept this one, liked what we saw way back in February. Not a great fan of ginrin but the pattern on this one is good (IMO) and I really really like the shape of the fins. Can't be that bad as Ian is comin' round to it too :HAHA:

We've kept 3 of the many long fin we got this year... another hi utsuri - not ginrin tho... and boy I really like that one but we missed it when we siened the pond so will post it's picture later on. The 3rd is a kohaku, for kicks really as the red was nice and again those fins!

All 3 went into the pond at 6", the gr hi utsuri and kohaku measured in at 12",... the one left behind is most likely the same. Not bad growth for 4.5 months.

They are Japanese, believe the breeder is Himitsu.
Here are the two with Panda...

I like the patterns as well but everything pales against Panda.

Liking the hi utsruri, and would love one like Panda. The kohaku, is nice, I'm not a huge fan of them, but it would be nice to have one. Wish I could get that kind of growth, but can't complain mine did get some nice length and girth this year.

The the gin rin distracts from the other one although its pattern is better to my eye.

I love tigger. Not a gin rin fan myself but they are both very nicely marked.

Maybe it's my inexperience but I like Ginrin, esp. solid colors !

Terri the more pix that I see of Panda the more I love it! :yup:
