Hi everyone.....
I noticed an area around my pond that could use another waterfall, a smaller one than the one I already have. I would love to see some photos for ideas on designs, etc. I was thinking of building a "C" shaped waterfall with a tree in the middle. (I have the tree, the liner, the rocks, filter and hoses). I'm going to place my filter "behind" the tree to hide it. I would like the waterfall to start at the top of the "C", going around the tree and down from the bottom of the "C" and into the pond. If any of you have a similar design of an existing waterfall, or close to it, please post pictures. Thanks a bunch!!!

When you say small.. how small?

When I say small, I mean for my bog area. Something that won't splash too much. something perhaps with a little stream at the top. Just water quietly cascading down the stream into the pond.
I'l planning to use 950gph magnetic drive pump through UV light. Currently the hose is directed right into the pond. I was thinking of creating a smaller version stream/waterfall.
I aready have a big waterfall on opposite side of my pond but there's an area that's "missing" something.

You should make a ginormous spitter  I would love to see like a huge spitter that was routed through a statue or something.LOL although it had probably been done many times i think that would fill up your missing spot :HAHA:

This doesn't come under small really but it is underconstruction.

WEll I did it ! I asked to see smaller version of streams and waterfalls, didn't many replies, just a few :( Thank you Jackie Ramo for your huge stream, gave me idea for my mini. LOL
Couldn't wait, so I just went ahead and started laying rocks on top of rocks, on top of rocks.
I built it all in one day....(This past Monday,Labr Day)!!!
I also took underwater lights from my goldfish pond and put them under this new waterfall.
Let me tell ya..............this small waterfall, lights up better than the big one!
I still have to cover the liner a little on the stream but nevertheless, I actually did it in one day! I'm just so proud of myself !!! I used gravel and sea shells for my stream, to create natural filtration.
By the way, all the green plants you see in the rocks, ARE FAKE.
Which is a great idea for those who have new waterfalls and don't have the patience to wait for plants to grow or, like in cold climates, etc. Each plant was no more than a dollar. Just stick them in between the rocks for a more natural look.

Well with all that energy, when are you coming over... Not one rock has been placed on mine as yet. Still redigging the stream.
I can't get the pix big enough to see what you did.

:banghead: How funny !!!
I had to have my daughter help me find the URL code.
Kids know so much about computers
Anyway, this stream is only about an average of 12 inches wide and about 5 feet across, and maybe 4 feet high. The waterfall rocks are 18" to 24" wide.
I'm using a 950 gph magnetic drive pump. It's going into a bioforce pressure filter, then into UV light, and then to the stream. I am pretty pleased with the outcome. It's an experiment, to see if my water will clear up.
But last week, I added barley and peat extract, and water is sparkling clear. Can see all the wrinkles on the bottom of my pond.

Badeye, did you silicone under the rocks or just stack them. I plan to silicone the rocks so the water goes over rather than under but yours looks nice and if I can skip this step...
Looks very nice. I like it. Didn't say when you were bringing your strong back up to help???? :HAHA:

Nope, didn't use silicone (I was in a hurry, was loosing daylight) !
I had 2 cans of black foam but neither one of them worked, nothing came out but air. They were brand new but I think I pushed too hard and let all the pressure out? What I did do is, I stacked the waterfall rocks on a slight angle towards the pond and I folded the liner in between them, overlapped like you'd fold towels. I stood inside the pond, facing the waterfall. I layed the first rock, then under where the second rock was going, I pulled the liner over the first rock to cover it halfway. I placed 2 smaller rocks on both side to hold the liner in place then I placed the second rock. This way the water has no choice but to flow with gravity. I did not cut the liner at all. Extra can be tucked away and hidden. I'v made many mistakes in the past by being too quick to cut the liner only to find that it could have been used to prevent leaks.

Too late we cut the liner, just kidding we did cut it but the part we cut off will be the waterfall part. The liner we had set aside for that is too short... so the new section is too long but that is just right if we use your idea of folding the liner over the rocks.
