Adjustment time

I have my pool/pond set up and have had half a dozen minnows and three 4" koi in it for the past two days. All they do is stay at the bottom outside surface. They swime in ircles around the outside and never come to the top or go to the middle.

Is this normal when introduced to a new pond? Not sure if they are eating, but i am putting some flake food that sinks to the bottom for them.

It is normal for them to to that. the minnows will hang to the sides or shores as it is natural. They know if they go to the middle they become lunch. :lol:
Be careful with minnows they a prone to fungas. good luck and have fun.

I am more interested in the koi, and hoping they will come to the top soon.

Stop feeding sinking food and flakes are not the best for them anyway. hunger is the best motivator.
