Jackie and Koicare along with myself all had experiences recently with sumi fading on shiro utsuris. Mine has come back like gangbusters in the last few weeks, it's still not a great one, pattern is not real well balanced but at least it's black and white not gray and white.
Should I assume it's back for good?
How are the other shiros doing, Jackie and Koicare? Did I miss anyone else who had this happen?

Have to wait for the ice to melt to see if Itzi has his black back.
Got a pic?

With my two shiros the black tends to darken during the fall and winter months and fades with the warmer weather (sucks). I had a little chat with them both outside the other weekend, asking politely to flip their seasonal looks as no one is around in Winter to ogle them.... They're not promising anything until they see the chuck wagon.... those bast@%*%!

Have you heard about hard water enhancing the development of sumi growth? And I don't mean Ice Chris. :-)
Last check on Ethel and she was still white, the black has not returned, you can see where it's supposed to be, but I'm not holding any hope it'll ever be the way it was.
