Thanks for the welcome!!! I think I'll really like this forum. I was really getting tired of Koi Vet. Not that I'm an elitist, but I really don't have any intereast in goldies. I definitely watch what I spend on this hobby. I have never spent more than $100 on one fish, but do believe in alot of quality food. Might back off a little as some of my guys seem to be getting too thick.

I must admit there seem to be a lot of tank related questions at KV these days. Still most fish share similar health problems. Many of our members have goldfish and/or goldfish and koi. The ponding hobby attracts people who like fish of all kinds, even fishermen!! :grin:

I agree fish do share the same problems, but if I want to read about Discus, which is the other fish I keep, I don't go to Koivet or here. I certainly can understand other's passion for other fish, I just don't share it. Does'nt make it wrong or bad.

You have it right, I use to fly fish a lot. I've seen wild trout that were totally awesome!!! So I do have a an appreciation for all fish, just not addicted.
