Turtles and Lotus seeds

If I get Lotus seeds and plant them in my pond will I have to store them over winter? I am in north east GA about 2 hours south of SC.

On turtles, I think something keeps eating my babies. I bought to larger turtles but have not seen them since I put them in the pond....will they run away do you think?

Lotus are hard and are tropical so it depends on which seeds you buy. There is a native lotus which is pale yellow and is hardy as far north as me.

Yes, turtles will wander off.
